Our Community Programs are designed to support people who are navigating tough systems, facing barriers, or rebuilding their lives. Whether you’re looking for practical help, emotional support, or a fresh start, these programs are here to meet you with compassion, dignity, and no judgment.
Programs and activities are free and open to all community members – women, men, and gender-diverse people aged 18 and up.

Psychoeducational Programs
At the Elizabeth Fry Society of Peterborough, our psychoeducational programs cover topics such as Healthy Relationships, Anger Management, Self-Esteem, and Goal Setting. All programs are facilitated in a safe, non-judgmental environment. While we do not offer clinical counselling, our programs are an important step in personal growth and healing.

Online Programs
Our online psychoeducational programs are free, self-paced, and accessible anytime so you can work through them on your own schedule. They’re designed to help build skills, support personal growth, and provide practical tools for everyday challenges.
Each program includes easy-to-follow lessons, reflection exercises, and strategies you can apply in real life. They’re open to anyone and can be a great first step toward making positive change.

Group Programs and Activities
Our group programs bring people together in a safe, supportive space to learn, connect, and grow. Each group is led by trained facilitators and often includes elements of psychoeducation, peer support, and skill-building.
Group programs help participants build insight, practice new skills, and reduce feelings of isolation, all while being supported by people who understand their experiences.
We also offer a wide variety of social activities, open to all community members aged 18+. If you are looking to learn a new skill, meet new people, or just looking to drop by, you are welcome to join us! No experience necessary.
